Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quality Systems Engineer for an on-site role in Sandton, Gauteng. The position drives the QMS design, implementation, and continuous improvement to meet ISO standards and regulatory requirements.

You will lead audits, CAPA, SPC and data-driven quality initiatives, working with engineering and production to ensure quality is built into products and processes.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant standards (e.g., IATF 16949, ISO 13485).
• Proficiency with quality tools: FMEA, SPC, RCA and CAPA.
• Experience conducting and leading internal/external audits.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO standards.
• Conduct internal audits and lead external audits by certification bodies.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends and implement CAPA.
• Develop SPC strategies and drive statistical process control.
• Lead cross-functional teams on root-cause analysis and problem solving.
• Oversee product conformity and compliance with customer specs and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver quality training for staff.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to embed quality in design and manufacturing.
• Manage supplier quality assurance programs.
