Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Quality Systems Engineer for our client’s manufacturing site in Pretoria, Gauteng. This on-site role focuses on maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet ISO 9001 standards and regulatory requirements.

You will lead audits, CAPA processes, and cross-functional initiatives with Production and Engineering teams, ensuring product quality, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement across the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality engineering or quality systems.
• In-depth knowledge of QMS standards such as ISO 9001; other standards a plus.
• Proficiency in SPC and quality tools (FMEA, DOE, RCA).

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001.
• Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance and drive improvements.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement CAPA.
• Lead cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement solutions.
• Develop and deliver quality training programs for staff.
• Manage non-conformances and customer complaints with timely resolution.
• Collaborate with R&D and Engineering on new product quality considerations.
• Monitor quality metrics and report to senior management.
• Stay updated with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Champion a culture of quality across the organization.
