Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Industrial Engineer focused on quality and efficiency in East London, South Africa. The role centers on analyzing workflows, implementing quality controls, and driving continuous improvement to minimize defects and maximize productivity.

You will lead root-cause analysis, optimize layouts, and collaborate with the QA team to meet ISO 9001 standards, while leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to sustain excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years in Industrial Engineering with focus on quality improvement and efficiency.
• Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001) and SPC.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production processes to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce production costs.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for quality and efficiency metrics.
• Collaborate with quality assurance to ensure standards compliance.
• Design and optimize manufacturing layouts and material flow to improve productivity.
• Implement Lean and Six Sigma to drive continuous improvement.
