Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• At least 4 years in quality control/quality assurance in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and SPC.
• Experience with FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, Lean Six Sigma.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QC plans for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Conduct quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with standards and specs.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Engineer to ensure the highest standards of product quality and process integrity at their facility in Mossel Bay . This role involves the development, implementation, and oversight of quality management systems and procedures designed to prevent defects and enhance customer satisfaction. You will work closely with production, engineering, and R&D teams to identify potential quality issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in quality performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses a strong understanding of quality methodologies, and is committed to upholding stringent quality benchmarks in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive quality control plans and procedures for raw materials, in-process production, and finished goods.
• Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and customer specifications.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement root cause analysis for non-conformities, developing and executing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to integrate quality considerations into new product development and process design.
• Manage and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, and calibration records.
• Train production personnel on quality standards and procedures, fostering a quality-conscious culture throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
• Solid understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
• Experience with quality tools such as FMEA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, and Lean Six Sigma principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in data analysis software and Microsoft Office Suite.
