Job summary

Placements24 in Mossel Bay is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Technician for our FMCG client. You will perform tests on raw materials, in-process goods and finished products, record results, and collaborate with production to address quality deviations.

The ideal candidate holds a National Diploma or relevant qualification in Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or a related science, with experience in QC testing and laboratory equipment. Knowledge of HACCP and GMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or relevant certification in Quality Assurance, Food Technology, or a related science field.
• Previous experience as a Quality Control Technician in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Familiar with QC testing methods and laboratory equipment.
• Good attention to detail and data accuracy; understanding HACCP/GMP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine QC tests and inspections on raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment used for quality testing.
• Record and document all test results accurately; identify non-conforming products.
• Collaborate with production to investigate issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality regulations.
• Prepare QC reports and communicate findings to QA Manager.
