Placements24 is recruiting a meticulous Quality Assurance Engineer for a Port Elizabeth facility. You will develop and maintain QA systems, identify defects, and drive continuous improvements to meet stringent quality standards.

The role demands a sharp eye for detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication across production and engineering teams in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality assurance or quality control within an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001.
• Experience with statistical tools for quality analysis (e.g., SPC, DOE).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans and inspection procedures.
• Conduct regular audits of production processes and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Analyze quality data, identify root causes of defects, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues promptly.
• Maintain quality documentation and records, ensuring traceability and accuracy.
• Promote a quality-focused culture throughout the organization.
