Job summary

Placements24 in Upington seeks a meticulous Chemical Engineer to join its Quality Assurance team. You will develop and implement QC procedures, analyze product performance, and contribute to continuous improvement in chemical manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering with 2–5 years in QA/QC in the chemical or pharmaceutical sector, and a strong eye for detail. ISO 9001 familiarity and SPC knowledge are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related science field.
• 2–5 years in Quality Assurance/Quality Control in chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with analytical techniques and laboratory equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems for chemical products.
• Conduct routine testing and analysis of materials and finished goods.
• Investigate deviations, identify root causes, and implement CAPAs.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with production and R&D to address quality concerns.
• Prepare quality reports, documentation, and trend analyses.
