Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Control Engineer for its Bloemfontein manufacturing operations. You will implement QA plans, monitor production, and drive continuous improvement to minimize defects.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 4+ years in QA in manufacturing, and experience with Six Sigma, SPC, and FMEA. You will calibrate equipment, document processes, and train staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of quality control/assurance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with Six Sigma, SPC, and FMEA.
• Proficiency with quality inspection techniques and measurement equipment.
• Strong understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems and procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure specifications.
• Analyze data, identify trends, and implement CAPA for non-conformities.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve issues.
• Manage calibration of QC equipment and maintain documentation.
• Train staff on quality standards and best practices.
