Ria Money Transfer, a leading global money transfer service, seeks a QA Analyst to ensure quality and reliability of software across the SDLC. You will design and run test cases, manage defects, and work with developers, BAs, product owners, and operations to deliver high-quality solutions.

Applicants should have IT-related education, QA experience, and familiarity with Jira or Azure DevOps within an Agile environment. Hybrid work schedule and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Relevant IT/CS/BI degree or diploma is advantageous.
• Experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Experience drafting and executing test cases and documenting defects.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps).
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC basics.

About This Role

The QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of software applications through effective test planning, execution, defect management, and validation. The role involves independently conducting testing activities, identifying and investigating defects, and ensuring that software solutions meet business requirements and quality standards. The QA Analyst works closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and operational teams throughout the software development lifecycle to support the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business and system requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, smoke, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Analyse business requirements and identify potential risks, gaps, and testing scenarios.
• Identify, investigate, document, and track software defects using appropriate defect management tools.
• Validate defect fixes and conduct retesting to ensure issues have been resolved without introducing new defects.
• Prepare and manage test data and test environments as required.
• Create, maintain, and improve test cases, test plans, and testing documentation.
• Record and communicate test results, defects, and quality concerns clearly and accurately.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and operational teams to resolve issues and clarify requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Provide input on system functionality, usability, performance, and overall quality.
• Support business users during user acceptance testing and system implementation activities.
• Monitor testing progress, identify potential risks to delivery timelines, and elevate issues where necessary.
• Contribute to the improvement of testing processes, QA standards, and overall product quality.
• Apply software testing methodologies and best practices to ensure consistent and effective testing outcomes

Position Requirements

• A relevant Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related field will be advantageous.
• Previous experience in software quality assurance or software testing, preferably in a similar role.
• Experience in preparing and executing test cases, documenting defects, and validating software functionality.
• Experience working with defect tracking and test management tools, such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms, will be advantageous.
• Exposure to reporting or data analysis tools will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies.
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL will be advantageous.
• Strong computer literacy and the ability to work confidently with different software applications.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document findings and engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of assigned testing activities.
