Job summary

JCM Consultants is seeking a Senior Test Analyst to lead test strategy, end-to-end testing, and defect management in a complex banking and payments environment. The role focuses on governance, quality assurance and stakeholder collaboration across multiple teams and vendor platforms.

You will review requirements and APIs, develop test cases and traceability, and coordinate across participant systems to ensure regulatory and industry standards are met.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years' experience in Software Testing and QA.
• Experience in Agile, Scrum and Waterfall environments.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Eng, BIS or related field.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Banking/Fintech/Payments environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, schedules, entry/exit criteria, and governance processes.
• Review requirements, APIs, and interfaces to identify test scenarios and coverage.
• Develop and maintain test cases, data requirements and traceability matrices.
• Coordinate and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, regression and conformance testing.
• Manage defects from identification to closure and retesting.
• Coordinate testing across participant systems, vendors and external interfaces.
• Support UAT preparation, execution, reporting and sign-off.
• Coordinate environments, data availability and access requirements.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; work with stakeholders across teams.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst to support key programme deliverables within a complex banking and payments environment.

The role will focus on test strategy, end-to-end testing, UAT, defect management, participant certification and ensuring that all testing activities meet programme, quality and governance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain test strategies, plans, schedules, entry and exit criteria, and testing governance processes
• Review business requirements, technical documentation, APIs and interfaces to identify test scenarios and coverage requirements
• Develop and maintain test cases, scripts, test data requirements and traceability matrices
• Coordinate and execute functional, integration, end-to-end, regression, certification and conformance testing
• Manage defects from identification and logging through to retesting and closures
• Coordinate testing across participant systems, vendor platforms, sandbox environments and external interfaces
• Support UAT preparation, execution, reporting, validation and sign-off
• Support participant certification, readiness assessments and evidence management
• Coordinate test environments, data availability, onboarding, endpoint validation and access requirements
• Identify testing risks, dependencies and issues and recommend practical mitigation strategies
• Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, architects, vendors, participant banks and programme teams
• Ensure testing artefacts and evidence meet governance, quality and industry requirements

Requirements

• 7-10 years' experience in Software Testing and Quality Assurance
• Experience working within Agile, Scrum and Waterfall environments
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related field
• ISTQB or equivalent software-testing certification advantageous
• Minimum 5 years' experience within Banking, Payments, Fintech, Financial Services or Payment-Scheme environments.
