Placements24 is seeking a Purchasing Officer for a leading industrial manufacturer in George, Western Cape. You will manage procurement of raw materials, components and services, ensuring cost savings and quality while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

You will collaborate with production, engineering and QC teams to forecast needs, process POs, and optimize inventory. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in purchasing, a relevant diploma or degree, and strong negotiation and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in SCM or related field.
• 3–5 years in purchasing or procurement.
• Proven negotiation experience with suppliers.

Responsabilités

• Execute purchasing for raw materials, components and services in line with budgets and specs.
• Source new suppliers, evaluate capabilities and negotiate terms.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve issues.
• Process purchase orders accurately for timely delivery.
• Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to forecast needs.
