Job summary

Smart4 Energy in Durban seeks an experienced Technical Sales Engineer – Pumps to drive growth in industrial pumping solutions. You will combine pump knowledge with customer engagement to identify opportunities, recommend equipment and coordinate quotations and orders.

You will collaborate with engineering, production and commercial teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects progress smoothly.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years’ experience in technical sales in the pump industry.
• Proven ability to develop new business and manage customer accounts.
• Experience with pump selection and technical quotations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in industrial and infrastructure markets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Develop new customer accounts and expand in established markets.
• Prepare technical and commercial quotations for pumping equipment.
• Coordinate orders from enquiry to delivery with internal teams.
• Provide technical guidance on pump selection and customer support.
