Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a diligent Procurement Officer for a prominent public sector organization based in Pretoria. You will oversee the full procurement lifecycle, ensure PFMA/PPPFA compliance, and support tendering, contract awards and supplier management on-site.

The ideal candidate holds a related bachelor's degree and 4+ years in public sector procurement, with strong analytical, documentation and communication skills to ensure fairness, transparency and value for money in government

Qualifications

• Public sector procurement knowledge including PFMA and PPPFA.
• Experience with government tender portals and processes.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement in line with PFMA and PPPFA.
• Prepare Tender documents, specs, and evaluation criteria.
• Facilitate bid committees and adjudicate bids.
• Administer awarded contracts and supplier performance.
• Maintain audit-ready procurement records.
