Job summary

Geotech in South Africa is seeking a Property Finance Manager to oversee day-to-day financial administration of sectional title schemes and homeowners' associations within a dedicated portfolio. The role blends trustee/member engagement with financial reporting and governance.

You will maintain relationships with trustees, prepare financial information for meetings, explain reports and ensure resolutions are correctly recorded in accounting records.

Qualifications

• Matric/Grade 12, with any additional relevant qualifications advantageous.
• 2–5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role.
• Understanding of trustee governance, trustee resolutions, and related administrative processes.
• Strong organisational, administrative, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and effective relationship with trustees/directors.
• Act as the primary contact between the trustees/directors and the managing agent.
• Attend trustee/director meetings as required.
• Prepare or assist with the preparation of agendas and financial information for meetings.
• Provide trustees/directors with accurate and understandable financial information.
• Explain financial reports, expenditure, budget variances, debtors, creditors and other financial matters.
• Advise trustees/directors of financial and administrative issues requiring attention.
• Record and implement properly authorised trustee/director resolutions.
• Ensure that financial resolutions are correctly reflected in the accounting records and administrative processes.
• Follow up on outstanding resolutions and report on their implementation.
• Escalate matters requiring a trustee/director or member decision

Our client is seeking a Portfolio Manager who will be responsible for the effective day-to-day management and financial administration of an allocated portfolio of sectional title schemes and/or homeowners' associations ("schemes"). The position combines direct trustee and member engagement with responsibility for the financial administration, processing, monitoring and reporting of the schemes within the portfolio.
