Job summary

Department of Health in Gauteng is seeking a reliable gardener to support hospital grounds maintenance. You will clean all areas around the hospital, water the garden, prune trees and flowers, and handle gardening materials with care. You may attend meetings and be asked to perform related duties by the supervisor.

The role requires ABET level 1 / Grade 6 or equivalent, ability to read and write, teamwork, and the stamina to work shifts and weekends. Enquiries: Mr PC Moloto.

Requirements :

• ABET level 1 / Grade 6 or equivalent qualification. Ability to read and write. Must be prepared to work shifts and weekends. Committed person, hard worker and good team worker.

Duties :

• Cleaning of all areas around the hospital. Watering of garden around the hospital. Pruning and cutting of trees and flowers. Handling of equipment and gardening material properly. Attend hospital and departmental meeting when requested by the supervisor. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor that are related to the job description that is lawful. Good interpersonal skills. Be able to read and write. Applicant must be able to work with people. Must be able to accept responsibility and complete work when under pressure. Excellent time management, organizational skills, communication skills, presentation and teamwork skills. Self-motivated and goal orientated.
