Job summary

Eastern Personnel Consultants in Centurion seeks a meticulous Bookkeeper for a full-time, permanent role in the property sector. You will manage tenant billing, creditors, cashbook, and assist with audit prep, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.

Responsibilities include maintaining tenant age analysis, handling deposits, reconciling municipal accounts, and coordinating maintenance invoices while liaising with contractors and city councils as required.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric, plus a degree, national diploma or certificate in accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' proven experience in property administration or property bookkeeping.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and willingness to learn specialized property software.
• Valid South African Driver's License.
• Strong attention to detail; numerical/analytical skills; initiative; communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Tenant debtors, billing, and deposits management; prepare adjustments and reconciliations.
• Administer utility recoveries and municipal accounts; reconcile with general ledger.
• Full creditors function; daily cashbook reconciliations; bond accounts and petty cash handling.
• Assist with annual external audit preparations and respond to queries.
• Coordinate preventative maintenance schedules; obtain quotes; track stock and budgets.
• Handle tenant queries; liaise with city councils, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
