Job description

Are you passionate about ensuring financial accuracy and integrity in a dynamic environment? Our client, a reputable leader within the property, financial services, and investments sectors, is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to help maintain precise financial records and support their regulatory and management reporting functions.

Duties:

• Perform daily bookkeeping and financial processing across multiple entities
• Complete bank and supplier reconciliations
• Process and investigate reconciling items and discrepancies
• Assist with bad debt write-offs and related accounting entries
• Import and reconcile billing information between accounting systems
• Assist with loading payments onto banking platforms and preparing payment packs for approval
• Prepare VAT calculations and reconcile VAT differences
• Compile supporting information for SARS queries
• Prepare monthly Management Accounts
• Analyse Actual vs Budget/Forecast results and explain variances
• Prepare annual audit files and supporting documentation
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure deadlines are consistently met

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in bookkeeping or similar finance role
• Strong understanding of reconciliation, VAT, and financial reporting
• Proficiency in Excel and basic programming knowledge in C is advantageous
• Excellent communication, analytical and teamwork skills
• Effective time management and organizational abilities
