Placements24 is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to lead renewable energy infrastructure projects in the Port Elizabeth region. You will oversee the full lifecycle from feasibility to commissioning, coordinating with EPC contractors and internal teams to deliver on time and within budget.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, 6+ years of PM experience in renewables, and strong leadership and negotiation skills.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead the development and execution of renewable energy infrastructure projects in the Port Elizabeth region. This role involves managing all phases of the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and site selection to construction and commissioning. You will work closely with internal teams, external contractors, and regulatory bodies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and closing of renewable energy projects, such as wind and solar farms
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources effectively
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractors
• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and permitting requirements
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle
• Facilitate communication among project stakeholders, including investors, government agencies, and community members

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 6 years of project management experience, with a significant portion in the renewable energy sector
• Proven ability to manage complex infrastructure projects from conception to completion
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMP certification is a plus)
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
• Experience with contract management and stakeholder engagement
