Placements24 seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee large-scale Renewable Energy Infrastructure projects around Pretoria. You will lead all phases from planning to handover, coordinate engineers, contractors, and regulators, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.

This hybrid role combines site visits, stakeholder meetings, and remote strategy sessions. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management and at least 7 years in project

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the development and execution of large-scale Renewable Energy Infrastructure projects in and around Pretoria . You will be responsible for managing all phases of project lifecycles, from initial planning and permitting through construction, commissioning, and handover. This role demands strong leadership, meticulous planning, and the ability to coordinate diverse teams, including engineers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will balance site visits and stakeholder meetings with strategic planning and team management from your remote workspace, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies.
• Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects, including scope, risks, and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Oversee site operations, contractor management, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
• Facilitate regular project status meetings and provide comprehensive progress reports to executive leadership.
• Manage contract negotiations and vendor relationships to secure favorable terms and ensure quality service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; PMP certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a significant focus on renewable energy or large infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects from inception to completion, meeting stringent deadlines and budget constraints.
• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar, wind), project finance, and permitting processes.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project or Primavera P6.
