Qualifications

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Project Manager to spearhead projects within the rapidly growing Renewable Energy sector, based in Paarl, Western Cape. This role is critical for managing the development and implementation of renewable energy initiatives, from feasibility studies and planning to construction and operational handover. You will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams, managing project budgets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders and contractors. Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete lifecycle of renewable energy projects (e.g., solar, wind) from initiation to closure.


• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, safety, and regulatory standards.


• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, external consultants, suppliers, and community stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years focused on renewable energy projects.


• Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, project finance, and regulatory frameworks.


• Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and cross-functional teams.


• Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.


• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field; PMP certification is highly preferred.
