Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead major commercial construction projects in and around George. You will oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and client liaison to ensure delivery that meets scope, time, budget, and quality.

A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field and 10+ years in progressive PM roles are required. Proficiency with MS Project or Primavera P6 is essential; PMP/Pr CPM is a plus.

This role demands a leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects, ensuring seamless operations from inception to completion. The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a deep understanding of construction methodologies, risk management, and contract administration. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of commercial construction projects, from pre-construction planning to project closeout.
• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery of services and materials.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to monitor construction activities, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
• Manage client relationships, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or queries proactively.
• Implement and enforce stringent quality control measures throughout the construction process.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize potential delays and cost overruns.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and progress reports.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a significant focus on commercial projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction management platforms.
• Strong understanding of contract negotiation, administration, and risk management principles.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
• Accreditation such as PMP or Pr. CPM is a significant advantage.
