Craven Cottage CC seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead construction and earthmoving projects from tender to completion. You will manage budgets, timelines and resources while guiding Supervisors, Operators and subcontractors on site in Welkom.

The role requires strong leadership, Excel proficiency, and a proven track record in construction, earthmoving or mining projects. A valid driver’s license is preferred and safety standards must be upheld.

Formación

• Minimum Grade 12 with PM knowledge and the ability to interpret tenders.
• Experience managing projects in construction, earthmoving, mining or plant hire.
• Strong leadership, organisational and reporting skills required.
• Proven budget management and cost control capabilities.
• Solid MS Excel skills and data-driven reporting.

Duties

• Manage projects from tender/RFQ stage through to finalisation.


• Control project budgets, costings, timelines and resources.


• Oversee site operations, productivity, quality and project progress.


• Lead Project Supervisors, Operators, Drivers and other project staff.


• Coordinate subcontractors, construction activities, materials and equipment.


• Ensure compliance with client specifications, safety requirements and quality standards.


• Oversee the Fleet Manager and Workshop to ensure equipment meets project requirements.


• Monitor equipment utilisation, maintenance, breakdowns and downtime.


• Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to management and clients.


• Oversee project administration and documentation.


• Resolve operational, staffing, cost and project-related challenges.

Requirements:

• Grade 12


• A formal qualification will be an advantage


• Proven project management experience in construction, earthmoving, mining or plant hire.


• Strong knowledge of earthmoving equipment and construction site operations.


• Experience managing Supervisors, Operators, Drivers and subcontractors.


• Experience with tenders/RFQs, project costing and budget management.


• Strong leadership, organisational, reporting and problem-solving skills.


• Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Excel.


• A valid driver’s licence.
