Job summary

878 Damen Services Africa (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town seeks a Project Manager Services to lead repair, upgrade and technical support projects across Africa from our Service Hub. With project values ranging from €50,000 to €4.5 million, the majority of work is in South Africa, with occasional opportunities across the continent.

You will work directly with vessel owners, suppliers and technical specialists, taking ownership from kick-off to successful delivery in a fast-paced ship repair environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or commercial field.
  • Several years of experience in a maritime services environment.
  • At least 5 years of project management experience within ship repair.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

The role

As Project Manager Services, you'll lead repair, upgrade and technical support projects across Africa from our Cape Town Service Hub. With project values ranging from €50,000 to €4.5 million. The majority of your projects will be executed in South Africa, with occasional opportunities to support customers and projects across other parts of Africa. You'll work directly with vessel owners, suppliers and technical specialists, taking ownership from kick-off to successful delivery in a fast-paced ship repair environment.

Your impact

Skills & Experience

We're looking for a proactive Project Manager Services who brings:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a technical or commercial field;
  • Several years of experience in a maritime services environment;
  • At least 5 years of project management experience within ship repair;
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Already living in South Africa, preferably in Cape Town.
