Job summary

878 Damen Services Africa (Pty) Ltd in Cape Town seeks a Project Manager Services to lead repair, upgrade and technical support projects across Africa from our Service Hub. With project values ranging from €50,000 to €4.5 million, the majority of work is in South Africa, with occasional opportunities across the continent.

You will work directly with vessel owners, suppliers and technical specialists, taking ownership from kick-off to successful delivery in a fast-paced ship repair environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or commercial field.
• Several years of experience in a maritime services environment.
• At least 5 years of project management experience within ship repair.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead repair, modification and technical support projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, logistics and delivery activities.
• Manage budgets, planning, risks and project performance.
• Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Identify variation orders and commercial opportunities.
• Support project execution on-site when required within Africa.
