Job summary

Prime System Solutions in Cape Town is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Managed Services team. You will design, deploy, and support cloud and on-premises environments with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies, virtualization, and network infrastructure.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering across Azure, Intune, 365, and VMware, with opportunities to drive automation and tool adoption within an MSP context. Hybrid work flexibility may apply as projects demand.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with Microsoft Azure, Intune, Microsoft 365 and VMware.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, troubleshooting methodologies and hardware stacks.
• Experience with cloud migrations, identity synchronization, and server setups.
• Familiarity with Google Suite and DADO products is a plus.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, VMware Certified Professional) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft Azure environments, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Cloud PCs, and Azure tenancies
• Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for device management across Android, Apple, and Windows platforms
• Conduct Active Directory migrations from on-prem to cloud (Entra ID)
• Configure and maintain VMware environments, including deployment and version upgrades
• Set up and manage DHCP, file servers, and new server builds in Azure and on-prem environments
• Configure and troubleshoot Azure AD Connect, including password hash sync, pass-through authentication, and ADFS
• Enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) policies across users and tenancies
• Manage Microsoft Intra and synchronization of identities from on-prem environments
• Administer Microsoft 365, with a focus on Exchange Online
• Configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for email security
• Ensure secure access and compliance across cloud and hybrid environments
• Contribute to automation initiatives using AI and scripting to streamline operations
• Evaluate and implement innovative tools to enhance service delivery in the MSP space
• Recommend and utilize essential MSP tools (e.g., RMM platforms, ticketing systems, documentation tools)
