Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Solution design and documentation of cloud solutions using AWS, Azure and Private Cloud.
• Ensure cloud security & compliance across environments.
• Design and optimize networking and backup strategies.
• Engage stakeholders, delivering clear proposals to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead technical pre-sales, RFPs, RFIs and tender responses.
• Provide guidance for deploying and securing cloud workloads.
• Analyze cost, scalability and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors on implementations.
• Maintain high-quality architecture diagrams and specifications.

Job description

Datacentrix is looking for a Cloud Solutions Architect with expertise in Azure and AWS, along with strong knowledge in networking, backup, and security aspects of cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and explaining solutions to a diverse audience, including C-level executives, technical teams, and non-technical stakeholders. The role requires excellent communication, presentation, and tender response experience. Hypervisor knowledge and a solid general IT background will be advantageous.

Required Qualifications & Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional

Additional Certifications (Advantageous):

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Professional (CCNP)
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, solution design, and implementation.
• Strong hands‑on experience in AWS & Azure cloud services.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, IAM, compliance, and risk management.
• Solid knowledge of networking principles (e.g., VPNs, VPCs, firewalls, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity).
• Familiarity with hypervisors (e.g., VMware, Hyper‑V) is advantageous.
• Excellent presentation skills, with experience delivering proposals to C-level and M-level executives.
• Strong written communication skills for documentation and tender responses.
• Ability to simplify and explain complex technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in a multi‑cloud or hybrid cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design: Architect, design, and document cloud solutions leveraging AWS, Azure and Private Cloud architecture to meet business and technical requirements.
• Cloud Security & Compliance: Ensure cloud solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Networking & Backup: Implement and optimize cloud networking, backup strategies, and disaster recovery plans.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate and present solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level and middle management.
• Technical Pre‑Sales & Tender Responses: Lead technical discussions, prepare and respond to RFPs, RFIs, and tenders.
• Implementation Guidance: Provide best practices for deploying, configuring, and securing cloud workloads.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, scalability, and performance improvements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, engineers, and third‑party vendors to deliver successful cloud implementations.
• Documentation: Maintain high-quality solution documentation, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
