Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to optimize upstream oil and gas production in Centurion. You will monitor well performance, diagnose issues, and implement artificial lift systems to maximize output.

You will collaborate with reservoir and facility engineers to meet production targets while maintaining high safety standards and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of upstream oil and gas production engineering experience.
• Proven experience with artificial lift and production optimization.
• Strong knowledge of wellbore dynamics and surface facilities.
• Experience with production data analysis and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze daily well production data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Implement and manage artificial lift systems (ESPs, gas lift, rod pumps).
• Perform root cause analysis for downtime and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with facility engineers to integrate wells with surface facilities.
• Develop and execute production enhancement projects (workovers, recompletions).
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

About the Role
