Placements24 has partnered with a leading Oil & Gas operator in Richards Bay to recruit a seasoned Production Engineer for offshore assets. The role focuses on maximizing production, ensuring integrity, and driving efficiency improvements across offshore fields.

You will monitor performance, diagnose issues, and develop solutions to enhance recovery and asset value while upholding rigorous safety standards in a demanding offshore environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in production engineering, offshore exposure.
• Proficiency in production system analysis, nodal analysis, and well performance modeling.
• Experience with artificial lift systems (ESPs, gas lift) and multiphase flow concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to work in high-pressure, team environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production data from offshore facilities to identify optimization opportunities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues and equipment malfunctions.
• Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift, water injection, and other production enhancement techniques.

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Production Engineer to join their offshore operations team based out of Richards Bay . This role is central to maximizing oil and gas production from offshore fields, ensuring operational integrity, and implementing efficiency improvements. You will be responsible for monitoring production performance, diagnosing operational issues, and developing solutions to enhance recovery rates and asset value. This position requires a strong understanding of production systems and a commitment to safety and operational excellence in the demanding Oil & Gas environment.
