Job summary

Mr D, a division of Takealot, in Cape Town seeks a Product Manager for Order Fulfilment to own the roadmap and execution of the order fulfilment portfolio within Mr D, including the customer journey from restaurant order acceptance through delivery.

You will work cross-functionally with product, UX, engineering and operations to deliver features that improve on-time delivery, order accuracy and customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years as Product Manager or 5+ years in software dev role
• Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in related field or equivalent experience
• Strong technical acumen for integrations
• Understand machine learning, LLM and AI concepts
• Ability to write specifications using traditional methods

Responsibilities

• Own the order fulfilment roadmap and execution across the Mr D platform, from design to launch and metrics
• Collaborate cross-functionally to define objectives, success metrics, epics/user stories, acceptance criteria and wireframes
• Participate in backlog grooming and planning ceremonies
• Engage with subject matter experts to analyse trade-offs and resolve priority conflicts
• Clarify requirements and create acceptance criteria with QA
• Perform pre-launch UAT and document non-functional requirements
• Contribute to technical design decisions for relevant projects
• Coordinate with drivers, restaurant partners, groceries, logistics and support teams to deliver on promises
• Define and report on on-time delivery rate, order accuracy and delivery times
• Analyze data to identify fulfilment optimisation opportunities
• Monitor North Star metric via project execution
• Understand data to extract insights for decisions
