Job summary

Mr D, a division of the Takealot Group, is seeking a Data Product Manager to shape our data product strategy and roadmap. You will work with stakeholders across business, engineering, and data science to deliver impactful data products and capabilities.

You will drive governance, define success metrics, and partner with engineering to execute the product lifecycle from concept to launch. A data-centric, collaborative, and fast-moving environment awaits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma in a relevant field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 3 years proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role, ideally within an e-commerce or data-centric organisation.
• Experience defining data product strategy and roadmaps with cross-functional teams.
• Strong stakeholder mgmt, communication, and analytical skills; ability to influence without authority.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define a holistic data strategy and roadmap.
• Identify opportunities for impactful data solutions and prioritise projects for the product backlog.
• Partner with engineering to plan and deliver data products and capabilities.
• Define metrics and governance standards to measure product success and quality.
• Advocate for data governance and ensure alignment with business goals.
