Job summary

RMB - Rand Merchant Bank seeks a skilled Business Analyst to liaise with stakeholders, elicit requirements, and drive process improvements in custody environments. You will analyze current operations, document functional specs, and support testing to ensure solutions meet business goals.

The role requires 2+ years in a BA role, knowledge of BaNCS SP, and strong communication with cross-functional teams. SA-based position with local regulatory alignment and training responsibilities may apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum relevant Degree (e.g. BCom, BSc Information Systems or Engineering) is advantageous.
• Business Analyst Diploma (Advantageous)
• Minimum 2+ years relevant experience in a Business Analyst role (Advantageous)
• Experience in the Custody environment is a requirement
• Experience on the BaNCS SP system is a requirement
• Knowledge of the Master File Administration processing in the BaNCS SP system is a requirement
• Exposure to system testing is a requirement
• Experience in the Global Custody product set and processes is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Suggest changes in executing work processes to better drive value and benefits for the business.
• Prepare and share recommendations for process and systems improvements in relevant area of accountability.
• Facilitate workshops to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes and policies and, where relevant, IT systems.
• Analyze existing processes and facilitate improvements with stakeholders.
• Document business/functional requirements.
• Conduct a gap analysis to identify the most feasible solution to meet requirements.
• Define metrics/performance goals and acceptance criteria for solution and ensure implementation.
• Clarify the business requirements and functional/process specifications for stakeholders.
• Work with project team to define metrics/performance goals and acceptance criteria for solution and system.
• Participate in the test effort to ensure the delivered solution meets agreed business requirements.
• Participate in post project implementation review.
• Provide input into compiling or write system manuals where required.
• Compile training material and provide end-user training to stakeholders where relevant.
• Prioritize requirements with Project Manager to identify deliverables and time frames.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and negotiate to achieve win-win outcomes.
• Initiate meetings with key stakeholders to track progress and manage expectations.
• Preserve relationships despite conflicts and seek mutual gains.
• Anticipate consequences and adapt problem solving based on feedback.
• Act speedily to resolve problems, queries and complaints.
• Adapt communication styles to meet audience needs.
