Placements24 in Randburg is seeking a diligent Purchasing Officer to manage day-to-day purchasing, process purchase orders, and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in purchasing, a relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management or Business Admin, strong ERP and MS Office skills, and excellent organizational abilities for accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• Must have relevant qualification in Supply Chain/Procurement.
• 2–5 years of experience in purchasing/procurement/administration.
• Solid understanding of procurement principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office (Excel/Word).

Responsabilités

• Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records including supplier information and price lists.
• Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery dates and resolve discrepancies.
• Liaise with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide order updates.
• Track outstanding orders and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery.
• Assist in evaluating supplier performance and identify potential issues.
