Job summary

Icebolethu Group in Durban is seeking an experienced Procurement Officer to oversee end-to-end purchasing activities across assigned units. You will source goods and services, negotiate pricing, and ensure compliance with internal controls and governance.

The role requires 2–3 years in procurement, a National Diploma in a related field, and strong MS Office/Excel skills. You will build vendor relationships and support budgeting while maintaining high attention to detail and effective

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of proven experience in a dedicated procurement or purchasing role.
• National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and negotiating skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with staff and management at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & quotation management for user department requisitions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and discounts with suppliers.
• Issue purchase orders and ensure audit-friendly documentation.
• Manage vendor relationships and stakeholder communications.
• Assist in budgeting and maintain purchasing databases.
• Ensure product quality and resolve procurement queries promptly.
• Communicate and enforce purchasing procedures and governance.
