Job summary

PwC South Africa is seeking a Senior Associate in the Procurement Excellence team. You will own delivery on projects, perform spend analyses, design procurement operating models, and help identify cost reductions for clients.

You will build strong client relationships and contribute to business development while collaborating with PwC teams to deliver integrated procurement solutions. Minimum 2–4 years in Management Consulting, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management is expected, with strong MS

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
• Enrolled for or have completed a Procurement qualification such as CIPS would be advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Experience with digital procurement systems and tools.
• Knowledge of data analytics, SQL, VBA, or other programming languages.
• Knowledge of the use of AI tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

As a Senior Associate in the Procurement Excellence team, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. You will be owning the development of deliverables that may include implementing new digital tools, designing and creating procurement operating models, performing spend analyses to identify cost reduction and strategic sourcing opportunities, or designing and implementing procurement process improvements.

You will take ownership of delivery on projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and client satisfaction. You will also play a key role in business development and building strong client relationships.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar;
• Enrolled for or have completed a Procurement qualification such as CIPS would be advantageous
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
• Experience with digital procurement systems and tools
• Knowledge of data analytics, SQL, VBA, or other programming languages
• Knowledge of the use of relevant AI tools
