Job summary

PwC South Africa in Durban seeks a Senior Associate in the Procurement Excellence team to own delivery across procurement & supply chain projects. You will perform spend analytics, design procurement operating models, and help implement digital tools for clients, ensuring high-quality deliverables and strong client satisfaction.

You will also contribute to business development and nurture client relationships while staying current with industry trends and PwC methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
• Enrolled for or have completed a Procurement qualification such as CIPS would be advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with digital procurement systems and tools.
• Knowledge of data analytics, SQL, VBA, or other programming languages.
• Knowledge of the use of relevant AI tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of assigned workstreams and deliver high-quality solutions to clients
• Conduct spend analytics and operating model assessments, and support the development of client solutions
• Build strong client relationships and support senior team members in advising clients on procurement excellence matters
• Support business development activities, including proposal development and preparation for client pitches
• Contribute to practice development by supporting the identification of new opportunities and the expansion of existing client relationships
• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
• Collaborate with other PwC teams to deliver integrated solutions to clients
