Job summary

Lactalis South Africa Port Elizabeth Plant is seeking a Process System Operator in the Wash Bay department, reporting to the Production Coordinator. You will ensure CIP processing runs smoothly and that processing equipment is correctly cared for and documented.

The role requires Matric or equivalent, computer literacy, FMCG experience, strong attention to detail and teamwork, good communication and numerical skills, and willingness to work long hours, weekends and public holidays when required.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent.
• Computer literate.
• Knowledge and experience in a FMCG environment.
• 2-3 years’ experience in a food related industry would be desirable
• Attention to detail; be a team player; effective communication skills; ability to work with figures; interoperate reports
• Willing to work long hours, weekends and public holidays when required

Responsibilities

• Must know how to use and care for processing equipment.
• Fully understanding the CIP processes.
• Work according to standard work instructions.
• Understanding of different chemical specifications and machine handling procedures.
• Understanding of the flow of CIP, work, information and relation between data and work.
• Support the Production Artisan in all CIP related tasks and troubleshooting.
• Operate the CIP program
• Wash CIP and Hand Wash and record all CIP processes
• Controlling CIP concentrates and daily tanks
• Analyze and testing of CIP samples of different tankers and equipment.
• Assist with reducing tanker penalties
• Optimize CIP times per unit
• Assisting with audits
