Job summary

The role requires 2-3 years' experience in food/beverage manufacturing, Matric with Mathematics and Science or N3, and a National Certificate in Food Processing or Diploma in Production Management advantageous.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience in a food, beverage, dairy, or related manufacturing environment.
• Previous team leader or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of production processes, quality control, health and safety regulations, HACCP, ISO standards, and manufacturing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment according to standard operating procedures.
• Ensure production plans are achieved while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Conduct routine process checks, quality inspections, and production reporting.
• Manage product changeovers and equipment start-ups/shutdowns.
• Support first-line maintenance and preventative maintenance activities.
• Lead and motivate production team members to achieve operational targets.
• Drive housekeeping, hygiene, GMP, HACCP, and health & safety compliance.
• Identify production losses, process deviations, and improvement opportunities.
• Assist with coaching, training, and performance management of operators.
• Maintain accurate production and operational documentation.
