Job summary

Lactalis South Africa, Bonnievale plant, is seeking a Production Coordinator to assist the Production Manager in maintaining GMP standards and minimizing losses. You will oversee Milk Reception, Milk UF and standardization, ensuring food safety and HACCP compliance.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in FMCG manufacturing supervision, dairy processing experience, and strong leadership with knowledge of inventory and WM9 systems, plus excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Dairy qualification in cheese making/Equivalent.
• At least 3 years experiences in a supervisory role.
• At least 3 years’ experience in Milk UF & Whey UF and standardization.
• Computer literate.
• Able to manage and build a successful team.
• Interpersonal understanding, organizational awareness and direction will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of inventory and BPCS/WM9 systems
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Health and Safety requirements
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Good problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager to manage GMP and to minimise losses
• To manage Milk Reception, Milk UF and standardization of milk production
• Responsible for Food safety in general
• Manage safety in general to maintain a safe work environment
• HACCP will be a huge focus; people must be informed and trained
• Revise work instruction regularly
• Set up new plan job observations/operating manuals
• Understand recipes and ensure people follow recipes according to the recipes
• Be firm with disciplinary procedures, people management
• Set up KPA for subordinates
• Stock taking on a weekly and monthly basis
• Manage production related files
• Work Public holidays and overtime
• To be able to work shifts
• Production Planning
• Evaluate performance on different work levels

Role Purpose,

Join Lactalis at our Bonnievale Plant as a Production Coordinator with the main responsibilities to ensure assist Production Manager to manage GMP and minimise losses. Drive the GMP and Standardizing with knowledge in Ultra Filtration. Successful candidates must have a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience within an FMCG manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of dairy manufacturing processes. Experience in Milk UF, Whey UF, and standardization processes is essential. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of and commitment to all Food Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, and company policies, procedures, and legislative requirements
