You will lead PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA), manage MOC, and ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, and related standards, collaborating with operations and maintenance teams.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of process safety engineering experience in Oil & Gas or petrochemical industries.
• Knowledge of process safety principles and standards (OSHA PSM, EPA RMP).
• Proven experience with PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA).
• Strong understanding of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and emergency response planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Certifications in process safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) are a plus.
• Eligible to work legally in South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in process safety engineering within the Oil & Gas or petrochemical industry .
• In-depth knowledge of process safety principles, standards (e.g., OSHA PSM, EPA RMP), and best practices.
• Proven experience conducting various types of PHAs.
• Strong understanding of safety instrumented systems (SIS) and emergency response planning.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Proficiency in safety management software and documentation.
• Certification in process safety (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a strong advantage.
• Must be legally authorized to work in South Africa .
