Placements24 is seeking a diligent Process Safety Engineer to strengthen safety management in Klerksdorp, South Africa. The role focuses on hazard assessments, developing procedures, and promoting a strong safety culture across oil & gas operations.

You will lead PHA studies (HAZOP/LOPA), develop PSM programs, perform audits, investigate incidents, and train staff to mitigate risks to personnel, asset, and environment in SA facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4+ years of process safety experience in Oil & Gas or chemical industries.
• Knowledge of PSM regulations (OSHA PSM) and industry best practices.
• Experience with risk assessment methodologies and tools.
• Understanding of chemical plant operations and equipment.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client requires a diligent and proactive Process Safety Engineer to strengthen their safety management systems in Klerksdorp . This role is pivotal in ensuring that all operations meet stringent safety regulations and standards within the Oil & Gas industry. You will be responsible for conducting hazard assessments, developing safety procedures, and promoting a robust safety culture throughout the organization. The successful candidate will play a key part in mitigating risks and safeguarding personnel, assets, and the environment in our South African facilities .

Key Responsibilities
