Job summary

Network Recruitment is seeking a Process Engineer to design and optimise process flows within mining and heavy industry settings. You will perform calculations, simulations, and performance analyses while supporting projects from concept to commissioning.

The role requires strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical improvements and compliant designs.

Qualifications

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical/Process Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years' experience as a Process Engineer.
• Experience in mining, mineral processing or related heavy industry.
• Strong understanding of process design, mass balances, equipment sizing, and plant optimisation.
• Experience with process simulation software and engineering design tools advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within project teams.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng/BSc/BTech Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3 to 5 years' experience as a Process Engineer.
• Proven experience within the mining, mineral processing, or related heavy industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of process design principles, mass balances, equipment sizing, and plant optimisation.
• Experience with process simulation software and engineering design tools will be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within project teams.
