Job summary

Network Recruitment in South Africa is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to lead mechanical engineering projects from concept through commissioning, liaising with clients and suppliers.

Job description

Key Responsibilities Manage mechanical engineering projects from concept through to commissioning. Coordinate project activities, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables. Develop and review mechanical designs, specifications, and engineering documentation. Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal project teams. Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Monitor project progress and proactively resolve technical and operational challenges. Participate in site inspections, installation oversight, and commissioning activities. Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. Minimum Requirements BEng or BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering. 3 to 5 years' experience in a Mechanical Project Engineering role. Experience within mining, mineral processing, heavy industry, manufacturing, or related engineering environments will be advantageous. Proven ability to manage engineering projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders. Strong understanding of mechanical systems, equipment design, and project execution methodologies. Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools. Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
