Placements24 is recruiting a Process Chemical Engineer for our client in George, Western Cape. The role focuses on continuous improvement of chemical production lines, optimizing performance, and reducing waste.

You will analyze process data, define improvement plans, and collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to implement solutions that enhance productivity while ensuring safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in a chemical process engineering role.
• Familiarity with process control systems and instrumentation.
• Experience with SPC and data analysis for chemical processes.
• Strong understanding of chemical plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production processes, identifying deviations and implementing corrective actions.
• Develop and execute test plans for process modifications and improvements.
• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure all process-related activities comply with environmental and safety standards.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations on process performance and optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the scale-up of new products or processes from pilot to full production.
