Placements24 is seeking a Principal Exploration Geologist to lead regional and project exploration activities in Klerksdorp, North West, South Africa. You will guide targets, perform 3D geological modeling, and coordinate geophysics and drilling programs while managing budgets and mentoring a team of geoscientists.

Competenze

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Geology or a related Earth Science discipline from a reputable university.
• A minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in mineral exploration with focus on gold, PGMs, or base metals.
• Demonstrated success in discovering economic mineral deposits.
• Expertise in geological interpretation, structural analysis, and ore deposit modeling.
• Proficiency in exploration data management, GIS software, and 3D geological modeling software.
• Strong understanding of geophysics and geochemistry relevant to mineral exploration.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership, project management, and communication abilities.
• Professional Geoscientist (Pr.Sci.Nat) registration or eligibility is highly desirable.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
