Placements24 is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer to lead design, implementation, and management of scalable cloud infrastructure. This fully remote role reports to distributed teams and centers on cloud strategy, security, and cost optimization from Centurion-based operations in a global context.

You will drive IaC adoption with Terraform, manage CI/CD pipelines, and mentor engineers while collaborating with product teams to optimize cloud-native applications across AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Qualifications

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 10+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5 years focused on cloud engineering and architecture.
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and its core services.
• Extensive experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and distributed systems in a cloud context.

Responsibilities
