Phoenix Recruitment Limited is seeking a Pass Runner for our Stellenbosch establishment. You will support the service team, ensuring smooth operations at the pass and dining areas.

The role requires 1–2 years of pass runner or restaurant experience, strong interpersonal skills, and a polished presentation. You will work closely with managers and chefs to maintain high service standards, even under pressure.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' previous pass runner, restaurant or kitchen experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Comfortable dealing with very distinguished clientele.
• Must be well-presented.
• Flexibility and accountability.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work under pressure and plan effectively.

Responsabilités

• Assist with any reasonable requests by a manager.
• Fill duties and responsibilities of a waiter.
• Responsible for cleanliness and hygiene of the pass areas.
• Check and ensure all mise en place are ready for service.
• Polish plates and copper items for service.
• Carry a tray with food safely.
• Knowledgeable about the menu and estate.
• Know all table numbers.
• Assist any chefs in the kitchen if needed.
• Sort and store empty wine bottles after service.
• Polish cutlery when pass duties are completed.
• Assist the waiters in the restaurant.
• Place orders for condiments with the chefs.
