Job summary

Wine Estate near Somerset West is seeking a Runner to assist the restaurant and food outlets, ensuring guests receive outstanding service. You will support waiting staff and chefs, keep pass areas clean, and help with wine bottle sorting and condiment orders.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist with manager requests and perform pass duties.
• Support waiters and kitchens as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of pass areas.
• Prepare mis en place and ensure service readiness.
• Polish cutlery and plates for service.
• Manage wine bottles storage and restock condiments.
• Know menu and estate details; assist guests and chefs.
• Maintain tray handling and table-number knowledge.

Job description

Wine Estate based close to Somerset West is looking for a Runner to be of assistance to all in the restaurant & food outlets and to ensure they provide excellent customer service to all guests.

Duties

• Assist with any reasonable requests by a manager
• Be able to fill duties and responsibilities of a waiter
• Responsible for the cleanliness and hygiene of the pass areas
• Check and ensure all mis en plus are ready for service
• Polish all plates and copper bowels for service
• Should be able to carry a tray with food safely
• Knowledgeable about the menu & Estate
• Should be able to know all table numbers
• Assist any of the chefs in the kitchen if need be
• Responsible for sorting all empty wine bottles and organising the area where empty wine bottles are stored
• Polish cutlery when all pass duties are completedAssist the waiters in the restaurant
• Place orders for any condiments with the chefs

Requirements
