Job summary

Cashbuild's P&L-Areas & Cabifit division in Louis Trichardt, South Africa, is hiring for an Edge bander & Pothole Operator (Internal Applications Only). The role requires Grade 12/NQF4, carpentry exposure, and machine operation experience, with shifts and weekend work anticipated.

Key tasks include advising customers, ensuring safety, and maintaining stock and work areas. The position emphasizes accuracy, pressure handling, and collaboration across departments in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 2 years carpentry experience would be advantageous.
• 1 year experience working with cutting, edging and drilling machinery would be advantageous.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Customer service: advise customers on products and assist with queries.
• Maintain area cleanliness and safety, including OHSA compliance.
• Assist with stock handling, packing and shelf readiness.
• Ensure procedures are followed for safe operation of cutting/edging equipment.
• Support other departments as required and maintain safe work practices.
