Job summary

Cashbuild in South Africa is seeking an Edge bander & Pothole Operator (External Applications Only) to support shopfloor operations in Louis Trichardt. You will handle edging and drilling tasks, advise customers, and assist across departments while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Role requires grade 12, some carpentry experience, and flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays. You will be part of a busy store environment focusing on accuracy and customer service.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 2 years carpentry experience would be advantageous.
• 1 year experience working with cutting and edging & drilling machinery would be advantageous.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and Public Holidays.
• Must be able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Advise customers correctly on product.
• Assist customer with any product queries.
• Assist with customer complaints timely.
• Must be available in area of responsibility.
• Assist in other departments as required.
• Ensure area is free of obstacles and stock is merchandised after receipt.
• Complete checklist as required when on duty with canteen and toilet schedule.
• Assist with packing stock away as per allocated bins.
