Job summary

P&L Edge bander & Pothole Operator position requires operating edging and drilling machinery, assisting customers, and maintaining safe work areas. The role demands flexibility for shifts, weekends, and public holidays while adhering to safety and quality standards. External applications only.

Ideal candidates have Grade 12 or NQF4, carpentry or machine operation exposure, and strong calculation skills to ensure precise work and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 qualifications.
• 2 years carpentry experience would be advantageous.
• 1 year experience working with cutting and edging & drilling machinery would be advantageous.
• Ability to perform basic calculations accurately.

Responsibilities

• Advise Customers correctly on product.
• Assist Customer with any product queries.
• Assist with Customer complaints timely.
• Must be available in area of responsibility.
• Assist in other departments as required.
• Ensure area is free of obstacles and stock is merchandised.
• Follow OHSA safety requirements and machinery safety standards.
• Report suspicious behaviour and ensure proper documentation for purchases.
